Boston College senior night vs. Northeastern up now

without comments

I’ve uploaded the Boston College Eagles’ 4-1 win over the Northeastern University Huskies on Saturday, March 7, 2009 – full gallery is here; sample below.

That weekend I was stalking the Boston College student managers – seniors Justin Murphy and Kenny Ryan along with Mike Feeley and Stephen Greenberg for a USCHO pair of stories – 1 and 2.  I only have Saturday’s take online now, but will be adding Friday’s images of them from BC at NU to that same gallery.

Have you registered as an organ donor?

without comments

If not, why not?  What are you going to do with your innards when you are dead :-)?

If you are from the US, please click here to be directed to your state’s registration.  Canadians can find your province/territory’s info here.

I know this has nothing to do with hockey or photography other than that there are hockey players, hockey fans and photographers who need or will need a transplant some day and all hockey players, hockey fans and photographers have organs that could help others once they have finished using them.

And if legislation comes up in your area to change organ donation to Presumed Consent or Mandated Choice, please support it – New York Times article on the differences in types of consent used in the US and other countries.

Lake Erie Monsters

without comments

The Lake Erie Monsters, the Colorado Avalanche’s AHL affiliate, have a new coach from Boston University, David Quinn:

and include some BU alum on their current roster including Brandon Yip and Kevin Schaeffer

but it was Boston College’s former captain Brock Bradford that scored their gamewinner versus the Rochester Americans last night.

The Lake Erie Monsters roster also includes Ryan Stoa, Justin Mercier,

 Billy Sauer,

 and Kevin Montgomery.

Update:  Brett Motherwell is now with the Chicago Wolves.
