Cutest fan ever

without comments

I’m not big on taking pictures of fans unless I have to – fans that are truly into the game don’t make interesting photos once the action stops and way too many “fans” just do it up to be seen, especially tv games.  Sadly that level of obnoxiousness has filtered down from the drunk guys to little kids waving their signs that are all about the network televising the game instead of being about their favorite team or player.

But there are a couple of fans who I enjoyed taking pictures of – just can’t decide which one truly is the cutest fan ever so just like my cat Andy is the most beautiful short-haired cat and Brylin is the most beautiful long-haired – here is the cutest fan on skates and off skates:

Off skates:  Lydia Canavan

Lydia’s older brother Will had a BC hockey sweater that he had players sign at the 2008 championship celebration.  Lydia decided she wanted autographs to and had her baby doll signed by the Eagles. I think that has to be one of the coolest souvenirs ever.

On skates:  I screwed up and didn’t get this cutie’s name at the Team USA open fan skate in Falmouth, Maine.    Absolutely adorable – showed Adam Burish, Patrick Kane and others how they should take face-offs.  He was much more into showing them his style than taking their tips.   If you know who he is, let me know.  Pretty sure he was from the area.

And my favorite lucky shot related to a fan:  that happy lady celebrating on the far left is Michelle Petrecki, Nick’s mother.
