UNH at UML

without comments

First – the UML chanting sounds way too much like the UNH chanting which sounds way too much like USA chanting which, in my opinion, is only appropriate at international games. Actually screw the “in my opinion” – it is a fact. If you chant USA at an NHL game, you are a complete moron as no team is made up 100% of US citizens and most likely has atleast one Canadian on it (since the morons normally break out the chant when playing one of the Canadian-based teams).

Third own goal at a game I’ve shot in less than a week (didn’t say “seen” since I only saw the first one) – Endicott on BC’s behalf, Vermont on BC’s behalf and today Lowell on UNH’s behalf. The own goal was credited to Austin Block of UNH – his first collegiate goal. I don’t think I’d like that if I were a player – though it’d be much worse if it were an NHL goal since any level under that quits being questioned once you move up, but “do you remember your first NHL goal?” never stops being asked and it seems live having to answer “well, I didn’t actually score it” would get old fast. One positive about the UNH goal – no assists were awarded. In both of the other games, assists were awarded on the own goal. WTF??? Recording assists on an own goal is worse than scoring an own goal – the first is straight up stupidity, while the second is accidental.
