to use his luncheon photos.
  • Creation of image and one print at 20×30 or 24×30 – $250 (includes shipping to a single address within US/Canada).
Additional prints of the image ordered at the same time – $60.
Post-creation, the image will be made available on line for orders at $75.

Will work with you via shared lightboxes online in choosing images – price also includes the option to have me check up to 10 past games (your choice) that do not currently have galleries online to provide additional options.

How to order? Please send payment of $250 for creation and single print copy (add $60 per each additional print you’d like to order at the reduced price) via Paypal to melissa@hockeyphotography.com. Please indicate in the accompanying message whether you’d like his or her full college hockey career included or strictly senior season. If there is a particular image you’d like used in the center, please provide that file name as well. I will then share an intitial lightbox with you of images that include your player and we will start the process of choosing the images to be used.

*not the definition of collage I learned in elementary school cutting up magazines, but it seems to be used this way now and I can’t think of another name.

Getting back on track – update on print ordering, gallery listings

    without comments

Sorry, I haven’t been posting in so long. First a HockeyPhotography.com related post, then I’ll get back to hockey.

    Ordering Prints

Since mid-December when Photoshelter made a system change, everyone has gotten error messages when trying to place orders. My apologies. I’ll be sending out an email to those I know about in a bit, but some are just listed as Anonymous so hopefully this will take care of those. The problem has been corrected by Photoshelter and a test conducted so please feel free to order :-). I am going to be switching to Paypal from the current credit card merchant system in the next couple of weeks (want to make sure I get everything right so there isn’t another period of downtime) as the set monthly fees in addition to transaction fees really add up. Paypal is strictly transaction fees.

[Forgot to include in the email I sent out - American Express is not currently accepted.   That should change with the switch to PayPal.]

    Gallery Listings

In the past, I’ve only listed game galleries when they are complete, but this year I’ve been doing a lot more immediate editing and getting 50-200 images online quickly. Those images have been available if you search on them, but not so easy if you want to browse through a game gallery. I am now posting galleries as I get initial images online. They will be titled YYMMDD-PARTIAL-Away Team at Home Team. Once I’ve been able to finish the gallery, I’ll remove the “PARTIAL”. These have been added to each team’s gallery collection as well as the College Hockey – 2009-2010 Regular Season collection. (Will be going back to past seasons as time allows.)

The following teams have at least partial galleries up for games this season:

Nothing to see here (tonight – 11/13)

    without comments

Photoshelter is doing some sort of work which means all photo galleries are dead here, just plain grey boxes. I believe everything is supposed to be back up by 4:00 a.m. so please come back tomorrow.

Shot Maine at Northeastern tonight, will shoot BU/Providence and BU/Merrimack tomorrow and then BC/Vermont on Sunday.

    Pricing and Discounts on Prints

    without comments

There are two forms of pricing for my images – editorial use and prints.  I do not make digital files available as that puts the image use out of my control which a) I don’t want and b) likely would be frowned upon by the NCAA as prints are strictly available for personal use.

If you are interested in an image for editorial use, by choosing editorial you will be taken through the various relevant categories for your usage to determine the price.

    New Pricing

I am, on certain sizes, increasing print prices beginning with October 16, 2009 games.  All games/events held prior to October 16, 2009 - even if they are not added to the archives until after that date – will remain at the original price.  I have not increased prices since I began offering prints while my costs for printing and storage have increased several times.  Following the 2009-2010 season, prices on games/events held prior to October 16, 2009 will be given the new pricing.

    Discounts:

I apologize that both of these discounts do require you to contact me to complete the final order.    When a more streamlined method becomes available, I will update this section as well as post a separate note.  For both discount options, the prints purchased/redeemed may be from either pricing structure.  Only one of the below discount options may be applied to any single order.

    1. Purchase 12 prints of any size in a single order and receive one 8×10* print free.   Purchase 24 prints in a single order – receive 2 8×10s* free, 36 prints – receive 3 8×10s*, etc.  The free print(s) does not need to be redeemed immediately and the offer does not expire.   When you are ready to redeem the offer, simply email me the file name of the image you would like and the finish you prefer – matte/lustre/glossy – as well as your shipping address if it has changed since you placed the original order.
    2. Purchase 100 prints of any size in a single order and receive 20% off your order (not including taxes/shipping costs).  Due to the need to workaround the current shopping cart system, please place your choices in a lightbox and contact me to complete the order.

    * Free print choice is not limited to images that have been cropped to the 8×10 proportion – you will receive your free print in the applicable size for the image you have chosen:  5×7, 8×8, 8×10, or 8×12.

    A bit of housekeeping

    without comments

Refuse to do it in my apartment, but thought it better to clean this up now rather than wait for even more posts to be affected.  I’ve changed the permalinks to use post names instead of the random numbers that were being assigned.

Still haven’t figured why Tags are missing from the Tag list in the Sidebar, but the Blog Search box works well and hopefully will help you find the post you need if you were trying to find one via an old permanlink.

Edited: If you use WordPress and can’t figure things out, try the forums on http://wordpress.org. In my case, a wonderful person with the username Esmi provided help that I should have been able to find if I didn’t become illiterate the second I start reading this sort of stuff and did so very nicely w/o pointing that out at all :-).
