Siblings: Brandon and Dion Knelsen

without comments

Brandon and Dion Knelsen both graduated from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks this year after spending four years as teammates on the Nanooks. They also have a younger brother Kyle who is currently playing in the AJHL. Following graduation they wound up on opposite sides of the puck when Brandon’s Idaho Steelheads played against Dion’s Alaska Aces.

Dion Knelsen was named to the Lowe’s Senior Class Award All-Senior All-America First Team, won the 2010 CCHA Scholar Athlete of the Year and Mike & Mariam Ilitch Humanitarian Award.  He has signed with the Sparta Warriors who are located in Sarpsborg, Norway, for next season.
