US Paralympic hockey team

without comments

Check out Alex Clark’s US paralympic team blog on USA Hockey.  Very interesting so far and the games haven’t even started.  I’d love to see (and for me, that always turns into wanting to shoot) a game sometime.

Thanks to College Hockey Inc. for pointing out the men’s sweep.

Best Defenseman: Brian Rafalski, University of Wisconsin (earlier blog gallery)
Best Forward: Jonathan Toews, University of North Dakota

For the women, 2 out of 3 played college hockey:
Best Goaltender: Shannon Szabados (the exception – she does play “college” hockey, but it is on a men’s team in the ACAC, not NCAA)
Best Defenseman: Molly Engstrom, University of Wisconsin

Best Forward: Meghan Agosta, Mercyhurst

Bobby Ryan

Bobby Ryan scored the opening goal for men’s hockey at the 2010 Olympics which obviously was also the first US goal. Nice to see the US go so young with the team this year.
