San Jose Sharks up 3-0; Worcester tied at 2
Logan Couture tied the game tonight for the Sharks which they won in OT to take a 3-0 lead over Detroit.
NHL.com had a nice article on 2008 National Champion Boston College Eagle Benn Ferriero. His Worcester Sharks are currently tied 2 games a piece with the Manchester Monarchs. Some insane traveling: “…Following his initial assignment to Worcester on Nov. 8, the 23-year-old Ferriero was recalled back to San Jose on five separate occasions and returned to the AHL within four days each time. In one 13-day stretch, he was called up and sent back down three times. …”
Tonight’s NHL Debuts
Via a quick review of the team rosters – not game notes:
Washington Capitals vs. Boston Bruins – none
Montreal Canadiens vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
Montreal – none
Toronto – Carl Gunnarson, Jay Rosehill, Viktor Stålberg
San Jose Sharks vs. Colorado Avalanche
San Jose – BENN FERRIERO!!!!!, Jason Demers
Colorado Avalanche – Matt Duchene, Ryan O’Reilly
Vancouver Canucks vs. Calgary Flames
Vancouver – Sergei Shirokov
Calgary – John Armstrong
May they all have great debuts – limited a bit for the Toronto kids (Go Habs Go!) and the Colorado kids.
And a second “Congratulations to Benn Ferriero” post
On his first (preseason) goal as a San Jose Shark. Too bad the Mercury News reporter was more in love with his pre-determined storyline of talking about Dandenault and Hinote than giving info on the game and Ferriero’s goal.
Previous post with Ferriero gallery.
Congratulations to Benn Ferriero!
Benn Ferriero has signed with the San Jose Sharks (no article there yet, but finally found it on TSN’s tracker after seeing it on fan blogs yesterday) and gotten away from the Phoenix Coyotes mess of an organization that drafted him. Ferriero joins Boston College Eagles teammate and fellow 2008 National Champion (got to type that whenever an excuse arises) Nick Petrecki who signed with San Jose back in the spring after his sophomore season.
If the 99 images above aren’t enough there are many many more available via the Search box – just Benn or Benn and Nick.
