Joe Whitney reached the 100 points milestone on March 12 with 3 assists – point 100, an assist on brother Stephen’s goal. (Previous galleries 1 2)
First Career Goals:
3/12 Mark Nemec, Maine
3/6 Mike Beck and Brian Dumoulin scored their first collegiate goals 55 seconds apart (goal mentioned in previous blog gallery for Dumoulin had the credit changed).
First Career Game-Winning Goals:
3/13 Matt Lombardi’s goal won not just the game, but the Hockey East quarterfinal series with UMass. (previous blog gallery)
3/13 From the Trenton Devils site: Tim Kunes recorded three points (2g, 1a), including his first professional game-winning goal, to lead the Devils to a 5-4 victory over Kalamazoo on Saturday. It was the Boston College alum’s seventh multi-point game of the season and his first time collecting first star honors. One of only two Devils to play in all 63 games for the Devils this season, Kunes leads defensemen with 33 points (7g, 26a). (previous BC gallery)
New faces on the Boston College Eagles
(Since I’m putting this up before Friday night’s game, it isn’t really late, right?)
Last weekend Patch Alber made his regular season debut with the Boston College Eagles (he played in the exhibition games against St. Francis Xavier and the Under-18s):
I said “faces”, but the second was a new look, not face with Steven Whitney switching to a bubble instead of a cage:
