2010 CHL Import Draft
Round 1 was held today. The top pick by the Prince George Cougarswas Martin Marincin who was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers last week (previous gallery).
Other players drafted include Jonathan Johansson by the Brampton Battalion (26th overall)
Michal Hlinka by the Moose Jaw Warriors (28th overall)
Igor Bobkov by the London Knights (52nd overall*)
Andrej Stastny by the Saskatoon Blades (55th overall*)
* Some teams passed – I used the overall, actually selected number as opposed to the technical draft spot number.
Marek Viedensky
Continuing with the San Jose Sharks, according to the Saskatoon Blades’ tweet (is that the proper form?) Marek Viedensky has signed a 3 year contract with the San Jose Sharks. I don’t see it on the Sharks’ website yet.
