Lost post (discovered this in drafts; no idea why I didn’t hit publish)

Robbie Vrolyk was named Northeastern Student-Athlete of the Week on February 16.

The ACHA announced a number of awards back on January 28 – I added a gallery to USCHO.com’s article on Andy Slaggert winning the award given to Assistant Coaches (resisted the urge to include pictures of his sons – took this image of son Landon Slaggert at the 2006 Frozen Four, and a couple of Carter Slaggert at the 2008 Frozen Four).

The Irish get some help

According to the South Bend Tribune (and seen by me thanks to IrishHockey’s twitter), Ian Cole, Billy Maday and Christiaan Minella will be returning to Notre Dame’s lineup. Realized I have never done an Ian Cole gallery so logged on for this post.

Siblings (or not) – Michigan/Under 18s

with 2 comments

Two current Wolverines who previously played on the Under-18 team have younger brothers relatives on the National Team Development Program’s 2009-2010 Under 18 team.  Neither younger brother player has committed to Michigan – Bryan Rust has committed to Notre Dame while Austin Czarnik is afaik currently uncommitted.  Note:  I was sloppy and screwed up – Austin and Robbie Czarnik are cousins, not brothers (thanks Chris!).   Oops!
