Congrats Team USA – 5-0 over Canada at the U18s

without comments

Team USA features two players who have already won gold at both the 2009 Under-18s and the 2010 World Junior Championship – Jack Campbell (previous blog gallery) and Jason Zucker (previous blog gallery).  Campbell earned the shutout in today’s win while Zucker had two goals.

Three others won gold at the 2009 Under-18s: – Adam Clendening, Jon Merrill (previous blog gallery) and Matt Nieto.  All three had an assist in the game.

Bryan Rust (previous blog gallery) is looking for his first gold and scored two goals in the game.

Viktor Tikhonov was recalled from Cherepovets by Phoenix

Brian Lee assigned to Binghampton by Ottawa.

And most-rumored item in my twitter feed:  Will he sign or won’t he re: Jordan Schroeder (most including link to Vancouver Sun story) – earlier blog gallery

US Paralympic hockey team

Check out Alex Clark’s US paralympic team blog on USA Hockey.  Very interesting so far and the games haven’t even started.  I’d love to see (and for me, that always turns into wanting to shoot) a game sometime.

Bobby Ryan

Bobby Ryan scored the opening goal for men’s hockey at the 2010 Olympics which obviously was also the first US goal. Nice to see the US go so young with the team this year.
